Diode is dead, long live diode

The machine I slapped together from spare parts found in my room in 2003 has finally kicked the bucket (its motherboard partially fried in 2001, so this was a long time coming). Our new machine is brand new hardware, but isn't able to work with our old one wire weather polling equipment. We are using different software now which provides less logging capability, but we should have some real time weather up again for a bit.

Our weather station is a AWG v.3 built from Dallas Semiconductor 1wire chips. We use an additional temperature sensor in a custom-built structure to radiate the sun. Data from the site is fed into a RRD database for graphs, PostgreSQL for long term statistics, the Weather Underground for wider dissemination, and APRS to benefit the amateur community.
